Speaking to BadTaste. It (via Coming Soon), Jackson confirms more Tintin: “As soon as I’m free of The Hobbit, I’ll be going back into doing Tintin,” he says. “It was held up by The Hobbit but we have every intention of doing another Tintin movie and it’s just waiting on me to be done with these Hobbit movies.”

The second film is set to adapt “Prisoners Of The Sun” and possibly “The Calculus Affair” also into one film.

Coming Soon says Jackson may pursue adapting “Seven Crystal Balls” with “Prisoners Of The Sun” as well as “Destination Moon” and “Explorers of the Moon” as third and fourth films in the series.

The Adventures of Tintin made $373 million worldwide in 2011 and fans are still longing for a sequel after its cliffhanger ending.

Originally the release date was targeted for 2015, but that seems highly unlikely at this point.
