In 1999, E.T. even made a cameo appearance in George Lucas’ Star Wars — Episode I: The Phantom Menace, unleashing a fervor of imagination on the part of Star Wars mythologists (theoretically, E.T.’s inclusion in the SW universe means Earth exists in it too)
