Harrison Ford has announced he wants to make another Indiana Jones movie.
Ford, who played the adventurous archeologist in the four installments of the franchise, has admitted he would gladly take part in a fifth movie if the chance were given to him.
He told E! News: “I wouldn’t mind another shot at Indiana Jones. I still think we have a chance of making a really good one.”
Directed by Steven Spielberg, Raiders of the Lost Ark cemented Ford’s place amongst Hollywood’s elite upon its release in 1981.
But whilst the original trilogy, which also included Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Cuisade have become popular classic films, the last installment in the series – Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – came in for much criticism.
The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was released in 2008, also starred Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, who recently told MTV News: “I talked to [Harrison Ford]. He said he’s staying in the gym, he said he’s heard no word, but he does know that [George Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin. He said he’s staying in the gym, so it means [the movie is] not so far off.”
Ford’s next movie, Jon Favreau’s Cowboys and Aliens.
