Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field all win NY Film Critics awards

Steven Spielberg have won top honors at this year’s annual New York Film Critics awards ceremony.

Spielberg’s widely praised biopic “Lincoln” has taken home not only the Best Screenplay award but also Best Actor for Daniel Day Lewis and Best Supporting Actress for Sally Field.

News of the awards came in an official announcement via Twitter.

The Film Critics Awards event held in New York on January 7.

Kathryn Bigelow was honored with the Best Film prize for her action/drama “Zero Dark Thirty,” which details the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden.Rachel Weisz will also be honored with the Best Actress prize for her work in the Hester Collyer directed romantic drama “The Deep Blue Sea.”
