Josh Brolin has come a long, long way from his role on “The Goonies”, now playing the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones (Agent K) in this summer’s “Men in Black 3.” Brolin gave fans his version of a sneak while hosting this week’s Saturday Night Live.

“Men in Black” was the creation of Lowell Cunningham for Aircel comics (later purchased by Malibu comics) back in 1990. The Barry Sonnenfeld films deviated from the original source material in making Agent J African-American )by hiring Will Smith), but most importantly, by using the memory wipe instead of murdering MIB witnesses.
Brolin describes the film’s story briefly: Agent J going back in time to the 1960’s.
The creators, like fans, are eager to see the MIB universe in a different era.
Special effects genius, Rick Baker offered this to Entertainment Weekly:
“When I saw the ’60s part, I said, ‘I think we should do retro-looking aliens based on a lot of the aliens that were in films from the ’50s and ’60s that I love,”’ says makeup artist Rick Baker. ”It was actually an idea I’d tried to push in the first two movies and they didn’t go for it, but I figured with the time travel it would be perfect.”
Baker revealed that there were 127 different aliens created for the film, but not all made the final cut.
“We’d do an alien you could build a whole movie around, with all kinds of animatronics in its face, and then it would turn out to be in a quick pan,” ( laughing) “It was like, ‘Wow, we could have saved some time there!”
“Men in Black 3” opens May 25th, 2012.
Here’s the official synopsis for “Men in Black 3”:
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind. – IMDB
